Singler earned his second consecutive start at small forward, finishing with five points and three rebounds in a losing effort against the Timberwolves. Singler took a back seat to Caron Butler in the second half and finished with 24 minutes of run. While there's a good chance Singler could remain a member of the Pistons starting five for the foreseeable future, he'll have a hard time carving a big enough role to make much of a fantasy impact. The pending return of Greg Monroe (suspension) this weekend will only give the Pistons another mouth to feed on the offensive end before considering Singler for touches.

Singler will start at the small forward position to start the season, Keith Langlois of the team's official site reports. Singler started 36 of 82 games last season, however those starts were at the shooting guard spot. With the addition of Jodie Meeks, Singler will see most of his minutes at the small forward, however he will still see some time at guard. With Caron Butler and Josh Smith potentially taking small forward minutes, Singler could see significant competition for minutes and may not have much value in standard leagues, despite his starting status.

Singler could see time at shooting guard with Jodie Meeks (back) expected to miss two months, the Detroit Free Press reports. Meeks' injury opens the door for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who's dealing with a knee injury right now, to likely step into the starting role once the regular season tips off. After the Pistons' offseason moves, Singler was expected to see most of his action at small forward this year, but his versatility and previous experience at shooting guard allows the Pistons to use him at the two when injuries force their hand. The third-year wing should see a slight uptick in minutes while Meeks is out.

Singler has been told to study the power-forward playbook for the Pistons in case coach Stan Van Gundy wants to play the small forward at power forward in some smaller lineups, the Pistons' official site reports. Singler is a rangy small forward who lacks physical girth, which is one reason why he spent a lot of time at shooting guard over the last two seasons. With Van Gundy taking over as the Pistons' head coach this season and Jodie Meeks coming to the team in free agency, it's expected that Singler will spend most of his time at small forward this season and occasionally receive exploratory minutes as a stretch four. At 6-8, 230 pounds, Singler has the length to play an undersized power forward, but he would give up a lot on defense if asked to defend a traditional power forward.

Kyle Singler scored 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting (including two threes) with five rebounds and one block over 28 minutes on Monday against the Bucks. Singler slowed down a bit a week or so ago but he's back to returning mid-round value over the past four games, averaging 13.3 points with 2.0 threes, 3.3 boards, 0.5 steals and 0.8 blocks while hitting 53 percent of his shots. Pick him up.

Kyle Singler hit 7-of-11 shots and four 3-pointers for 18 points, three rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block in Wednesday's loss. He had scored a total of 20 points in his previous three games, so this one sort of came out of nowhere. It's possible he just went through a slump and is ready to get hot again, and he's also hit a 3-pointer in six straight games. As long as he's starting, he's still worth a look in most leagues.

Kyle Singler increased his workload to 28 minutes in Monday's win over the Jazz, scoring five points on 2-of-5 shooting (including a three) with three rebounds and one block. Singler is in a bit of a tumble but he's still managed to hold onto late-round value over the last two weeks, and over the last four games in which he's fallen to just 26.8 mpg he is still a 14-team value. Jonas Jerebko earned more minutes with a 22-point outing on Saturday but had just seven points and eight rebounds in 24 minutes tonight, so it's unclear if he will continue to take from Singler, who was humming along nicely before the timeshare was upon him.

Kyle Singler started on Saturday but played just 19 minutes to finish with six points and three rebounds on 2-of-7 shooting. Jonas Jerebko caught fire and finished with 22 points and five 3-pointers for one of the best games of his life and because he was so hot, Singler played his least amount of minutes since Jan. 22. He should bounce back, but it's possible the Pistons give Jerebko more minutes going forward, making this a dicey situation if you need Singler's minutes in a deep league.

Kyle Singler played 46 minutes and finished with 14 points, six rebounds and two 3-pointers in Saturday's overtime loss to the Pacers. Singler's had a nice season and is always worth a look in fantasy, but is a low-end starting option. He had two points on Wednesday, and inconsistency should continue to be an issue with him.

Kyle Singler scored just two points on 1-of-5 shooting with three rebounds and one steal over 28 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Raptors. Singler has cooled off over the last two weeks but has still returned late round value in that span while sitting at a tidy mid-round return over the last 15 games. With a solid role intact owners should be holding in most cases.
