Lowry returned to the court after missing Saturday's game against the Jazz and made his presence felt, as he posted a season-high mark in points while also recording double-digit dimes just for the 11th time this season. The veteran point guard had a couple of disappointing performances over the last few weeks but seems to be turning things around, and he has put up at least 20 points in each of his last three games.

Lowry will start Sunday's game against the Lakers, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.

As expected, the veteran will return to the mix after being rested on the front end of a back-to-back Saturday night. The Raptors' rotations have been wildly unpredictable over the last few weeks, but Lowry has played 34 or more minutes in each of his last six appearances.

Lowry became a very sensible pivot upon news of Fred VanVleet's (hip) absence Thursday night, as the veteran is almost always a prolific producer when he has the backcourt to himself. Although Malachi Flynn assisted, Lowry is a nightly viable option who doesn't necessarily need the aid of an absent player. In DFS contests, Lowry also comes in with a very attractive salary on a nightly basis and is an inexpensive way to get involved with Toronto's offense.

Lowry scored 24 points (8-14 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with six assists, two rebounds and one block in a 116-103 loss to the Nets on Tuesday.

EDGE Analysis

Lowry scored 20-plus points for the first time in April. The guard has missed nine of the teams 14 games this month due to a foot injury and rest but has provided fantasy managers with consistent assist totals when he has been in the lineup. Lowry has averaged 12.8 points, 7.5 assists and 5.3 rebounds across his last four games. Look for the veteran to build on Tuesday's efficient shooting performance Thursday on the road against the Nuggets.

Lowry had nine points (3-9 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 assists and five rebounds in Monday's win over the Cavs.

EDGE Analysis

While the 10 assists give Lowry 19 over his last two games, the more concerning trend is that his scoring efficiency has fallen off a cliff. Since returning from a four-game absence last week, Lowry is shooting a combined 7-of-31 from the floor, including just 4-of-23 from beyond the arc, over his last three games.

Lowry was held to four points (1-10 FG, 0-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT) in Saturday's loss to New York, contributing nine assists, seven rebounds and one block in 36 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

The 35-year-old followed up Wednesday's modest 14-point performance with his lowest scoring output since Feb. 8. Lowry has missed 11 out of the last 15 games due to a mixture of rest and foot ailments, and with the Raptors quickly falling out of playoff contention, it wouldn't be surprising to see him sit more games down the stretch. The 15-year guard is a dicey fantasy bet the rest of the way.

Lowry compiled 14 points (4-12 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds and five assists in 35 minutes during Wednesday's 114-103 victory over the Nets.

EDGE Analysis

Lowry joined a host of other Raptors players returning to the lineup Wednesday, with. the point guard back in action after resting in each of the previous four games. Even though his overall stat line was somewhat muted here, he's still a clear must-roster player from a per-game perspective, but predicting when he might play over the final few weeks of the season could be stressful. The Raptors will have five games on tap next week, and if his recent usage is any indication, Lowry will be highly unlikely to play in all of those contests.

Lowry (rest) isn't listed on the injury report for Wednesday's game against the Nets.

EDGE Analysis

The 35-year-old rested the past four contests and has seen action in only one game so far in April, but it appears he's on track to play Wednesday versus the Nets. Lowry can't be trusted for consistent playing time week-to-week given Toronto's recent lineup trends, though for now he's set to take the court against Brooklyn.

Lowry will be rested for Sunday's game against the Thunder.

This will be the fourth consecutive rest day for Lowry, who's appeared in only one game in the month of April. At this point, virtually all of the Raptors' regulars are extremely risky players to start in weekly lineup leagues, as coach Nick Nurse appears to be selecting his rotation at random on a game-to-game basis.
