Lowry has been playing well for the shorthanded Heat. Over the past 11 games, he's averaged 16.9 points, 9.5 assists and 4.4 rebounds in 36.0 minutes. However, he's now landed in protocols so someone will have to absorb his usage. On a positive note, Jimmy Butler (tailbone) may make his return Sunday.

Lowry supplied 19 points (3-12 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 11-16 FT), five rebounds, 10 assists and one steal over 42 minutes during Sunday's 100-90 loss to the Pistons.

EDGE Analysis

Tyler Herro (quad) and Jimmy Butler's (back) absences have allowed Lowry to show off his skills to maximum effect over the past week. The veteran has collected 25 assists over the past two games, but his shooting stroke still leaves much to be desired, going 6-of-18 over the weekend.

Lowry managed 14 points (4-12 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds and five assists in 39 minutes during Wednesday's 101-96 victory over the 76ers.

Wednesday's performance marked the first time in the last five games where Lowry failed to score at least 16 points. Fortunately, he impacted the game in other ways and made some clutch free throws down the stretch to ice the game for Miami. Through 26 games, Lowry is averaging 13.8 points, 8.0 assists and 4.3 rebounds across 34.2 minutes per game.

Lowry recorded 22 points (8-16 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five assists, three rebounds, one steal and one block during Monday's 105-94 loss to the Cavaliers.

EDGE Analysis

This was the guard's second outing over the last three reaching the 22-point mark, as Lowry was second on the Heat behind P.J. Tucker's team-high 23 points. After Monday's solid outing, Lowry has recorded at least 20 points in seven matchups this season. Across his past three performances, Lowry is averaging 20.0 points and 10.7 assists.

Lowry closed with 22 points (9-21 FG, 4-13 3Pt), two rebounds, 13 assists and one steal in 39 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Bucks.

EDGE Analysis

In the absence of Jimmy Butler, Lowry was able to lead the Heat's offense and record his sixth double-double of the season. The six-time All-Star has been especially productive in recent games without Butler where he has averaged 16.4 points and 9.4 assists compared to 13.0 points and 7.6 assists on the season. Lowry should continue producing this level of output as long as he is leading the Heat's offense.

Lowry racked up 26 points (9-18 FG, 6-13 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and nine assists in 38 minutes during Friday's 113-104 victory over Indiana.

EDGE Analysis

Lowry shot 50 percent from the floor in Friday's victory and posted his highest scoring total of the season while leading Miami on the scoreboard. He's now scored in double figures in four of his last six appearances and has averaged 15.2 points, 7.7 assists and 4.3 rebounds in 32.8 minutes per game during that time.

Lowry supplied 17 points (5-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), two rebounds and 14 assists over 36 minutes during Monday's 120-111 loss to the Nuggets.

EDGE Analysis

The 14 dimes were a season-high mark for the veteran floor general, who has been playing better than expected since joining Miami in the offseason. He also has scored at least 15 points in three of his last four contests, and while he's not expected to become one of the team's biggest scoring threats overnight and his downgrade in scoring figures was totally expected, Lowry has still been a decent performer for most fantasy formats.

Lowry accumulated 15 points (4-10 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT), six rebounds, eight assists, two blocks and two steals over 35 minutes during Tuesday's 100-92 victory over the Pistons.

EDGE Analysis

Lowry's two blocks were a season high, and it was part of a great defensive effort that also included two steals. The veteran filled the rest of the stat sheet up as well. It was a good bounce-back game, as Lowry had scored in single digits across his prior two appearances.

Lowry registered eight points (3-8 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, 12 assists and one steal in 35 minutes during Thursday's 112-97 win over the Wizards.

EDGE Analysis

Lowry ended a streak of four games with double-digit scoring figures after resting Wednesday against the Pelicans, but he supplied that lack of scoring with a season-high mark in assists. In fact, he has dished out 10 or more dimes in four of his last seven contests. Lowry's scoring numbers will not be the same ones he had in the Raptors during his prime years, but he remains a reliable fantasy contributor due to his decent scoring and playmaking numbers.

Lowry (rest) will be inactive for Wednesday's contest against the Pelicans.

EDGE Analysis

The veteran point guard has seen 33 or more minutes in six straight contests for the Heat as coach Erik Spoelstra and the team opt to rest Lowry for the team's contest against New Orleans. Expect the likes of Tyler Herro, Gabe Vincent and Caleb Martin to all be candidates to receive more opportunities Wednesday night.
