He is outside the top 200 in nine-category leagues over the past two weeks, averaging just 7.1 points to go with 3.7 assists and 1.1 steals. His playing time remains limited, as he has logged 30 minutes only twice in that timeframe. While he should be better than this, his spot on a 12-team fantasy roster shouldn't simply be a given.

Lowry couldn't step up in the absence of Jimmy Butler (back), though his eight assists to two turnovers provided value. Still, fantasy managers who enjoyed Lowry's early-season performances are starting to be weighed down by his recent struggles. Over the veteran's past 10 appearances, he's averaged just 7.0 points on 38/23/80 shooting, 3.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 28.3 minutes.

Making his third straight appearance for Miami following a four-game absence due to a sore left knee, Lowry delivered by far his most encouraging performance since his return to the lineup. After being limited to 22 and 21 minutes in his first two games back in action, Lowry not only saw a sizable uptick in playing time Sunday, but he served as the Heat's go-to option down the stretch. Lowry poured in nine of his points in the final 3:03 of Sunday's contest and made an impact on the defensive end to help propel Miami to a victory.

Lowry (knee) doesn't have a strict minutes limit for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans, but coach Erik Spoelstra noted, "I won't play him what he was playing before, certainly not where he was one of the league leaders in minutes," Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports.
