Anderson tallied 13 points (4-6 FG, 5-6 FT), four rebounds, two steals, two blocks and one assist in 24 minutes off the bench Sunday in the Grizzlies' 134-133 overtime win over the Nets.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson worked in a starting role for most of his first season in Memphis, but he lost out on the top small forward job to Jae Crowder coming out of the preseason. The 26-year-old still remains a vital part of coach Taylor Jenkins' rotation, though, and turned in his best all-around performance of the season Sunday. While this sort of efficient shooting isn't a major outlier for Anderson, his low usage rate will make it difficult for him to reach double digits in the scoring column on most occasions. He still offers enough across-the-board assistance to warrant intrigue in deeper leagues, even if his minutes stick in the 20-to-25 range for most of the season.

Anderson (shoulder) came off the bench and provided six points (3-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and one block in 16 minutes Monday in the Grizzlies' 108-94 exhibition win over the New Zealand Breakers.
EDGE Analysis
Making his first appearance in a game since Jan. 30, Anderson's conditioning understandably wasn't up to par, but he displayed his usual efficiency in a low-volume role on offense while also playing solid defense at small forward. Per Omari Sankofa II of The Athletic, head coach Taylor Jenkins said he eventually envisions Anderson logging time at power forward as well, but the Grizzlies may have been reluctant to expose him to unnecessary contact in the low post while the 26-year-old worked back from April thoracic outlet surgery for his right shoulder. Anderson admitted after the contest he still isn't 100 percent, so he could be subject to additional time off in the remaining three games of the Grizzlies' preseason slate.

Anderson (shoulder) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice, Peter Edmiston of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is pretty surprising, considering Anderson said Monday that he did not expect to participate in the team's training camp. Speculation regarding Anderson's participation have been all over the place, but Tuesday's news essentially confirms that the swingman is back healthy. However, it's still unknown at this time whether or not Anderson will play in the Grizzlies' preseason contests.

Anderson (shoulder) said he doesn't expect to participate in training camp, Omari Sankofa of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
This runs contrary to reports last week suggesting Anderson would be ready for camp, but it now appears he'll need some more time to work back from the thoracic outlet decompression surgery he underwent back in April. Anderson said he's optimistic about his recovery, but if he misses the entirety of training camp, there's a chance he could be limited to begin the regular season. The Grizzlies open up in Miami on Oct. 23.

Anderson (shoulder) is progressing as expected from his surgery and will participate in training camp with the Grizzlies.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson has his season cut to just 43 games last year, and he underwent thoracic outlet decompression surgery in mid-April. There's a chance he begins the season as the Grizzlies' starting small forward. Even if he doesn't, he could see significant run off the bench as a multi-position ballhandler.

Anderson underwent surgery Thursday to address his sore right shoulder and is expected to make a full recovery by the start of training camp.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson was sidelined for 37 of the team's final 39 games with the lingering injury, but the procedure should resolved the issue heading into 2019-20. The small forward will likely spend the summer rehabbing before being back to 100 percent by the time preseason play gets underway.
