Humphries announced Tuesday via his personal Instagram account that he has retired from professional basketball.
EDGE Analysis
The 34-year-old had been out of basketball since 2016-17, so his retirement announcement was mostly just a formality. The 14th overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft, Humphries spent 13 seasons in the league with the Jazz, Raptors, Mavericks, Nets, Celtics, Wizards, Hawks and Suns. Over 800 career regular-season appearances, Humphries averaged 6.7 points and 5.4 rebounds in 17.8 minutes per game.

The 76ers waived Humphries on Saturday, Tom Moore of the Bucks County Courier Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kumphries scored just three points in four exhibition games, and failed to make much of an impression during his stint with the club. The veteran has bounced around the league in recent years, with Philadelphia being his sixth team since the 2012-13 season. It is unclear what his next move will be.

Humphries is planning to sign a non-guaranteed deal with the 76ers, Shams Charania of The Vertical reports.
EDGE Analysis
Humphries will have a chance to make the final roster, provided he's up to par during training camp. He's bounced around the league as of late, landing in Atlanta last season -- his fifth team since 2012-13. Last year, he averaged 4.6 points and 3.7 boards across 12.3 minutes per game while shooting 35.2 percent from beyond the arc -- an area he's worked to improve over the past two seasons. Even if he makes the team, it's doubtful he'll garner a bigger workload than in 2016-17, making him avoidable in the vast majority of fantasy formats.

Humphries posted five points (2-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-4 FT), eight rebounds and two blocked shots across 28 minutes in Wednesday's 104-86 loss to the Pacers.
EDGE Analysis
With the Hawks locked in for the playoffs, Humphries drew the start with Paul Millsap (rest) on the bench along with the rest of Atlanta's first unit. The 32-year-old journeyman performed admirably while Millsap was out with injury, and he may earn some more playing time during Atlanta's playoff run as a result. He's only averaging 12 minutes of usage per game this year, so one shouldn't expect Humphries to make a huge impact moving forward.

Humphries will start at center for Wednesday's tilt with the Pacers, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Hawks are resting a ton of players Wednesday, which includes both Dwight Howard and Paul Millsap. That allows Humphries to pick up the start at center and he should be in line for a hefty workload, which could make him an intriguing and cheap DFS play for Wednesday's slate of games.

Humphries (neck) will be available off the bench for Sunday's game against the Cavaliers, KL Chouinard of Hawks.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Humphries had been listed as probable on the Hawks' injury report, so it was always expected that he'd be available for the contest. The veteran big man turned in a productive outing Friday against the Cavaliers with 12 points (5-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt), seven rebounds, four assists and one steal in 25 minutes, but expect his minutes to take a steep hit now that he's back on the bench with Paul Millsap (rest) and Dwight Howard (rest) reclaiming their usual starting roles in the frontcourt.

Humphries is expected to play Sunday against Cleveland, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
Humphries popped up on the injury report Saturday with a strained neck, but the expectation is that he'll play through the ailment Sunday. With Paul Millsap resting, Humphries started Friday's game against the Cavs, finishing with 12 points, seven rebounds and four assists in 25 minutes.

Humphries will start at center Friday against the Cavs, Hawks play-by-play announcer Bob Rathbun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Humphries will enter Atlanta's starting lineup in place of Dwight Howard, who is being handed the night off. Considering the Cavs will be without their starting center, Tristan Thompson (thumb), as well, Humphries should like his chances of making an impact, particularly because Paul Millsap will be rested for the Hawks, too, opening even more frontcourt minutes for Humphries. In two starts this season, Humphries has averaged 5.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 21.0 minutes per game.

Humphries will start at center for Saturday's matchup against the Grizzlies, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Dwight Howard (rest) out Saturday, Humphries will draw the start at center, despite only playing in 45 games this season, averaging just 11.8 minutes when he does play. Though it's unclear how much time he'll see, Humphries averages 14.2 points and 10.4 rebounds per 36 minutes, possibly making him a solid DFS option if he can get at least a 20-minute workload.

Humphries (coach's decision) failed to see the floor in a 119-111 loss to the Warriors on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Humphries hasn't played in any of the Hawks' last six games, and coach Mike Budenholzer's increased preference to use small-ball lineups won't help the 32-year-old's case for cracking the rotation. Mike Muscala has been phased out of the frontcourt mix lately as well, but since he's consistently ranked ahead of Humphries in the pecking order this season, Muscala would likely be the first big man to reenter the rotation if Budenholzer wants a more traditional backup option at center over natural power forwards Ersan Ilyasova and Paul Millsap.
