Anderson signed a contract with the Pacers on Friday and was waived Saturday.

Indiana brought in all of Anderson, Bennie Boatwright and Derek Culver in on Exhibit 10 deals Friday, only to cut the trio less than 24 hours later. Upon clearing waivers, Anderson is expected to join the Pacers' G League affiliate in Fort Wayne.

Anderson spent training camp with Philadelphia and averaged 7.2 minutes per game during the team's two preseason matchups. He won't keep his roster spot heading into the regular season, but he could secure a role in the G League.

Anderson had a horrific shooting day Tuesday against the Magic, hitting just 1-of-15 field goals in 31 minutes.

Anderson's only two points came on his lone field goal, as he missed his only free throw attempt and went 0-of-12 from beyond the arc. The Virginia product also added five rebounds and two assists in 31 minutes as a starter with a number of Nets regulars resting.

Anderson is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Magic, Anthony Puccio of Nets Daily reports.

EDGE Analysis

With a number of regulars sitting, the Nets will once again shuffle the deck and go with a new starting five. Anderson will get the nod at one forward spot, and he'll be joined by Chris Chiozza, Tyler Johnson, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and Rodions Kurucs.

Anderson will not participate in Wednesday's scrimmage against the Pelicans, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports.

While Anderson participated in practice for the first time Tuesday, coach Jacque Vaughn said that Anderson will be held out Wednesday considering he's still getting acclimated. Tyler Johnson and Jamal Crawford will sit out as well. As a result, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, Rodions Kurucs and Dzanan Musa could all see extra run, not to mention guards like Chris Chiozza and Garrett Temple.

Anderson will fill the roster spot vacated by Wilson Chandler, who is electing not to participate in the resumption of the season in Orlando next month.

Anderson delivered a season-high 10 assists and finished with a plus-31 net rating in Monday's shellacking of the Swarm. The 26-year-old could well earn a roster spot at the NBA level this season as he's averaging an excellent 21.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 33.4 minutes per game while shooting a blistering 48.6 percent from the field on the year.

Anderson compiled a career-high 48 points (15-22 FG, 8-10 3Pt, 6-7 FT) to go with five rebounds, three assists and two steals across 36 minutes Tuesday in the Long Island Nets' 137-118 loss to the Oklahoma City Blue.

EDGE Analysis

Anderson's scoring tally was also the most by any player in the G League this season, but it wasn't enough to for the Nets to avoid a blowout loss. A veteran of 218 NBA games, Anderson doesn't have much to prove in the G League, but performances like this could allow him to resurface at the sport's top level sooner rather than later.
