Hart will move to the bench Monday against the Timberwolves.
EDGE Analysis
Hart has been playing great to begin the season, but ultimately there's not a spot for him in the starting five with Brandon Ingram returning from his four-game suspension. Because of his good play, however, Hart could still potentially keep averaging more than 30 minutes per game like he's done all season.

Hart went for 12 points (3-10 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five rebounds, one assist and two steals across 32 minutes in the Lakers' 121-114 win over the Nuggets on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Hart has drawn a first-unit assignment at two-guard in each of the last two games in place of the struggling Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and he's managed to offer better production than the latter. Despite a rough shooting night Thursday, Hart is averaging 13.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.0 steals across 29.0 minutes during that pair of contests, draining 44.4 percent of his attempts, including 41.7 percent from three-point range. Meanwhile, the move to the bench seems to be agreeing with Caldwell-Pope thus far, as he's shown improvement across the board on the second unit. Consequently, the current arrangement may be one that coach Luke Walton finds amenable for the foreseeable future, a development that would give Hart's fantasy stock a boost in all formats.

Hart will start at shooting guard Wednesday against the Suns, Dave Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com.
EDGE Analysis
Hart's move to the starting five knocks Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to the bench. Hart has had a nice start to the season, posting averages of 17.0 points and 6.3 rebounds over 32.0 minutes. He's coming off a great game against the Spurs where he collected 20 points and 10 rebounds. Hart has been the Lakers' best bench player this season, which paired with Caldwell-Pope's struggles, explain Hart's move to the starting five.

Hart managed 20 points (8-14 FG, 4-7 3Pt), 10 rebounds, one assist and two steals across 39 minutes in the Lakers' 143-142 overtime loss to the Spurs on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Hart was by far the most productive member of the Lakers' bench, and he actually logged more minutes than all but LeBron James and Kyle Kuzma for the team on the night. The second-year guard has scored in double digits in all three games thus far, generating a pair of 20-point efforts along the way. Hart's impressive play figures to keep his minutes in the upper 20s at a minimum on most nights, and an eventual ascension into the starting five is certainly possible if starting two-guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who played only 19 minutes Monday, continues to struggle.

Hart registered 20 points (8-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-3 FT), four rebounds, one assist, three steals and two blocks across 27 minutes in the Lakers' 128-119 loss to the Trail Blazers on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Hart's scoring tally led the bench and was second only to LeBron James' for the Lakers on the night. The second-year guard was a revelation last season while shooting an impressive 46.9 percent across 63 games (23 starts), and he's expected to provide some serious scoring punch off the second unit this season as part of the team's increasingly deep backcourt rotation. Hart's minutes allotment in the opener was encouraging, although it remains to be seen how that playing time will fluctuate as the season unfolds.

Hart will not play Friday against the Warriors, Kyle Goon of the Southern California News Group reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hart will be among several players resting Friday as the Lakers close out the exhibition schedule. Expect to see the second-year guard back in action for the regular season opener.

Hart (hamstring) has been cleared to play in Wednesday's preseason game against the Warriors, but is only expected to see limited minutes, Kyle Goon of Southern California News Group reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hart tweaked his hamstring at practice earlier this week, but it appears the Lakers are still going to get him some time during Wednesday's exhibition. He'll likely only play a handful of minutes and can be avoided by those playing preseason DFS, but it's still an encouraging development that the Lakers feel comfortable putting him on the floor in a meaningless preseason game. Barring a surprise setback, Hart should be a full go for next week's regular-season opener.

Hart (hamstring) is a game-time decision for Wednesday's preseason game against the Warriors, Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hart was originally listed as questionable, and Wednesday's morning shootaround didn't cause him to lean in either direction. If he's out, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Lance Stephenson and Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk could see extra run.

Hart (hamstring) was held out of Tuesday's practice and is listed as questionable for Wednesday's preseason matchup with the Warriors, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hart tweaked his hamstring Monday and was then held out of Tuesday's practice for precautionary reasons. "He's good. He wanted to practice today but it was tight still," head coach Luke Walton said regarding Hart's status. It sounds like a very minor issue, but there's a chance the Lakers hold Hart out of Wednesday's exhibition to make sure he's as healthy as possible for next week's regular-season opener. Consider him questionable for now and another update should be provided after the second-year guard is able to test out the hamstring during the team's morning shootaround.

Hart tweaked his hamstring during Monday's practice, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It doesn't sound like anything too serious, though the Lakers will likely be as cautious as possible with Hart considering the regular-season opener is just over a week away. Tentatively consider Hart questionable for Wednesday's exhibition with Golden State and another update should be provided Tuesday regarding whether or not he was able to resume practicing.
