Hart (knee) had season-ending knee surgery Thursday to address an issue with his right patellar tendon, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hart has been bothered by the knee for much of the season, and while he attempted to play through the discomfort, his effectiveness clearly waned. The Villanova product had already missed the last four games, and he'll now face a fairly lengthy recovery process of around 12 weeks. Expect Hart to return to basketball activities sometime in June and be fully ready for the start of the 2019-20 season.

Hart (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup with the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
Hart will miss his second straight contest as he tends to tendinitis in his right knee. Now that the Lakers are officially eliminated from the playoffs, there is no need to rush Hart back until he is 100 percent healthy. Look for Reggie Bullock and Lance Stephenson to see increased action as long as Hart remains sidelined.

Hart had six points (2-3 FG, 2-3 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 17 minutes during Tuesday's 115-101 loss to the Bucks.
EDGE Analysis
Hart had been listed as questionable due to knee tendinitis but was able to give it a go. Nevertheless, given that the team is simply playing out the string, there's little reason for coach Luke Walton to rely on the hobbled Hart to play heavy minutes. As a result, the sophomore guard can likely be avoided across most formats across the final 11 contests of 2018-19.

Hart is listed as questionable for Tuesday's contest at Milwaukee due to knee tendinitis, Kyle Goon of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hart missed last week's game against the Pistons due to the same injury, so it appears as though the tendinitis is still affecting the former first-round pick. There is still hope though that Hart will be able to play through his knee tendinitis especially given that LeBron James (groin) will be inactive Tuesday. Hart will probably be a game-time call leading up to matchup against the Bucks.
