Hart has entered the NBA's concussion protocol following Friday's game versus the Rockets.

Hart logged 34 minutes in the game but apparently suffered a concussion in the contest and will need to make it through the return-to-participation process before being allowed back on the floor. Fortunately for him and the Trail Blazers, the team doesn't return to action until Wednesday against the Grizzlies, so Hart could avoid missing any action.

Hart had 10 points (3-4 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, six assists, one block and three steals across 31 minutes during Wednesday's 119-98 loss to the Heat.

Hart is never going to be known for his offensive contributions. He's failed to score more than 10 points in each of his last four appearances. His real value lies in what he can provide in other categories, particularly as one of the best rebounding guards in the league. He's pulled down at least six boards in every game this season and is averaging 9.4 rebounds, 10.8 points, 4.0 assists and 1.6 steals.

Hart provided nine points (3-5 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 16 rebounds, five assists and two steals in 36 minutes during Sunday's 106-104 win over the Lakers.

While Hart didn't play a major role in the offense for Portland, he was efficient when given opportunities and dominated the defensive glass. The 27-year-old has been excellent in the first three games, averaging 12.7 points, 10.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists while making 56.0 percent of his shot attempts. While he only took five shots Sunday, he took 20 shots over his first two contests and will likely receive more offensive chances moving forward.
