Calderon (calf) is expected to start Wednesday's season opener against the Bulls, Ian Begley of ESPN New York reports.
This news only confirms what coach Derek Fisher said last week, as the calf injury Calderon is nursing is not anything serious. He'll open the season as the starting point guard and should again be among the top three-point shooting point guards while producing solid assist totals.

Calderon (calf) won't play in Friday's preseason game.
However, coach Derek Fisher intimated that Calderon would be his starting point guard on for the season opener, so he shouldn't be downgraded in fantasy drafts.

Calderon (calf) did not practice Thursday.
Calderon suffered a minor calf injury against the Bucks earlier in the week, but it's not expected to be anything that will carry over into the regular season. Consider him questionable for the team's preseason finale Friday against the Raptors in Quebec.

Calderon (calf) won't play in Wednesday's preseason game, Newsday's Al Iannazzone reports.
There was a chance that Calderon could be held out of preseason action to make sure he's ready for the start of the regular season, and that will indeed be the case. Shane Larking will start at point guard Wednesday.

Calderon (calf) did not practice Tuesday, Steve Popper of The Record reports.
Calderon strained his calf early in Monday's 120-107 loss to the Bucks, limiting him to just four minutes of action. Coach Derek Fisher said the injury is nothing serious, but it's possible he holds Calderon out of action Wednesday against Washington to provide him some extra rest.

Calderon's (calf) injury is not considered to be serious according to coach Derek Fisher.
Calderon strained his right calf during Monday's preseason game against the Bucks and was forced to depart early. His next opportunity to get on the court will be Wednesday against the Wizards, although the Knicks may ultimately decide to hold him out until the start of the regular season on Oct. 29 against the Bulls to play it safe.

Calderon suffered a right calf strain during Monday's preseason contest against the Bucks, and his return is doubtful, New York Newsday reports.
With two exhibitions remaining on the slate this week, the Knicks may exercise caution to ensure that Calderon is healthy for the season opener, which arrives next Wednesday versus the Bulls. Meanwhile, after draining a trey in four minutes Monday, his preseason line currently sits at 5.8 points (on 47.8 percent shooting), 2.4 assists, 2.2 rebounds, one three-pointer, and one steal in 17.2 minutes.

Jose Calderon hopes that he will be able to play alongside Carmelo Anthony in New York.
"He's one of the best players in our league and I'd love to play with him," Calderon said Friday during a conference call. "I think I could help him to just take a lot of pressure out of him, just give him the ball when he's ready for it... Anything I can do to make him stay, for sure." Calderon is a pass-first point guard, and he could make a nice pairing with 'Melo in New York. However, it remains to be seen whether or not the New York born superstar will be returning to the Big Apple.

President Phil Jackson said one of the reasons he acquired Jose Calderon and Samuel Dalembert was to "change some of the chemistry" of his team.
"To do that we felt [it was] important to bring in some new personnel and start with some character guys that we feel can carry this forward," Jackson said. The Knicks got the type of point guard they needed for their new system, but certainly sacrificed the center spot. Calderon should be set up for success with the Knicks and could be one of the best point guards in fantasy as long as he stays healthy.

Jose Calderon was traded to the Knicks on Wednesday.
While Calderon doesn't come cheap at $7.1 million, the Knicks have been starving for a starting point guard for a long time. He's been among the league leaders in assist:turnover ratio for several years and has led all guards in effective field goal percentage for each of the last two seasons. He already has a very fantasy-friendly game and the move to the Knicks could help him as long as he's able to stay healthy.
