Hawkins totaled 31 points (10-19 FG, 7-14 3Pt, 4-5 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and one steal in 38 minutes during Monday's 134-116 loss to Denver.
EDGE Analysis
There were several potential suitors for CJ McCollum's (lung) production, but Hawkins drew the start and made the most of his opportunity. His team-high scoring total makes him an excellent streaming option, and he could be even more valuable if McCollum's timetable is similar to his previous lung injury, which kept him out of action for six weeks.

Hawkins is starting Monday's game against the Nuggets, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hawkins will draw the start at shooting guard as the Pelicans roll out a larger-than-usual starting lineup due to CJ McCollum's (chest) absence. Hawkins has scored in double digits in two of his three starts so far this year, averaging 10.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals in 33.7 minutes.

Hawkins supplied 15 points (5-11 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds and one steal over 24 minutes during Saturday's 123-105 loss to the Hawks.
EDGE Analysis
Hawkins moved back to the bench with the return of Brandon Ingram, and that should conspire against his fantasy upside in a big way. That said, Hawkins might still carve a role as a second-unit scorer for the Pelicans, and if he's able to show consistency as such, he might be valuable in some formats, particularly the deeper ones, or he could end up being a valuable streaming option in category-based leagues.

Hawkins recorded 10 points (4-19 FG, 2-13 3Pt), six rebounds, five assists and two steals over 37 minutes during Wednesday's 110-106 victory over Oklahoma City.
EDGE Analysis
Hawkins was in the starting lineup for the second game in a row with Brandon Ingram (knee) ruled out for the contest. Hawkins managed to score in double digits for the second straight contest, but he did so shooting just 21.1 percent from the floor, and he missed 11 of his 13 shots from beyond the arc. Hawkins did post the best point differential on the team with plus-17.

EDGE Analysis
Hawkins got a look with the first unit Monday due to the absence of Brandon Ingram (knee soreness) and finished as one of six Pelicans players to score in double figures during his first career start. Hawkins surpassed the double-digit point total for the first time this season while hauling in five or more rebounds. Over three appearances, Hawkins has averaged 8.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 20.7 minutes.

Hawkins ended with nine points (3-7 FG, 3-6 3Pt), four rebounds and one assist in 18 minutes during Saturday's 96-87 win over New York.
EDGE Analysis
Hawkins, who the Pelicans with the 14th pick of the 2023 NBA Draft, was able to see more action on the court thanks to the team's large lead in the fourth quarter with eight of his 18 minutes coming in the fourth quarter. He managed to shoot 50 percent from three on the evening and helped the team keep their large lead despite the Knicks clawing back to within single digits multiple times in the second half. Hawkins will look to build on his momentum Monday against the Warriors.

Hawkins scored a team-high 17 points (5-14 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 2-3 Ft) while adding two rebounds and an assist in 23 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 110-105 preseason loss to the Hawks.
EDGE Analysis
The UConn product flashed the long-range shooting that made the Pelicans select him with the 14th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. Hawkins could have trouble carving out a big role in the New Orleans backcourt as a rookie with CJ McCollum, Brandon Ingram and Jose Alvarado (ankle) all set for significant action, but if he keeps delivering as a second-unit scoring threat, he'll earn consistent minutes.

Through three Summer League appearances, Hawkins has shot a combined 5-of-22 from three-point range. Hawkins was a career 37.6 percent shooter at Connecticut, so he's due for some positive regression soon.

Hawkins finished with 16 points (7-15 FG, 1-6 3PT, 1-2 FT), five rebounds and one assist in 28 minutes of Sunday's 94-86 Summer League win over Golden State.
EDGE Analysis
Hawkins, who is known for his perimeter shooting, is shooting just 25 percent from three through two Summer League games. With his efficiency from deep being so low, it is promising to see him still put together respectable scoring outputs, showing his versatility on the offensive end. It could be difficult for Hawkins to crack the Pelicans' rotation come the regular season, however, with the amount of talent they have on the wing.
