Kuminga hasn't played since Jan. 4. He was on a tear before suffering the ankle injury, averaging 20.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.6 steals-plus-blocks in 20.3 minutes per game. Kuminga has yet to play with Jimmy Butler, so it'll be interesting to see how the Warriors' starting lineup looks when the youngster is cleared to suit up. Kuminga has missed the last 11 games for the Warriors, and head coach Steve Kerr said Saturday that the forward wasn't close to a return. The Warriors did announce that Kuminga is making good progress, however, and he is expected to begin light on-court individual workouts within the next week. Kuminga suffered a lateral right ankle sprain against the Grizzlies on Jan. 4. He hasn't progressed in his recovery as well as hoped, and Kerr relayed that Kuminga has recently been working on stationary shooting and riding an exercise bike.
