Wall twisted his ankle late in Wednesday's win over the Jazz, the Washington Post reports. Wall said he's unsure if he'll be able to practice Thursday, putting his status for Friday's matchup with the Clippers in jeopardy. "You know me. I want to play. I want to compete," said Wall, whose ankle was swollen after the game. "I tied my shoe as tight as possible and ran it off. If it hurts afterwards I'll get a day off tomorrow to rest. So it's nothing." Judging from that quote, Wall does not expect to sit out Friday, but the decision will ultimately be in the hands of Washington's training staff.

Wall just missed a triple-double in 41 minutes Monday against Portland as he scored 21 points (10-23 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT) to go along with nine rebounds, 11 assists, two steals and two blocks. Talk about a monster stat line. Wall even contributed in a big way on the defensive side of the ball. He has now scored at least 21 points in each of his last three games and could be turning things up as the Wizards fight to improve their playoff seeding.

Wall acknowledged Saturday that he's playing through pain and fatigue, the Washington Post reports. "Everything," Wall said when asked what's hurting. "I can't even name a specific thing to be honest with you." Wall, who has not missed a game this season, is averaging nearly 36 minutes per game, and the heavy workload is begging to take a toll on the 24-year-old's body. His production has declined since All-Star Weekend as the Wizards have sputtered to a 2-7 post-break record. Over that span, Wall is averaging 14.4 points, 9.8 assists and 4.3 rebounds while shooting just 36 percent from the field. By comparison, he posted 17.4 points, 10.1 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 46 perent shooting in 54 games prior to the break. Wall was hesitant to state that he'll miss any games to rest, especially with the Wizards already tumbling out of a first-round home court spot, but he acknowledged that finding a chance to rest would be the ideal scenario. "I'm trying to find some time," Wall said. "I don't like to miss games. I like to play and compete and get my team a chance to win."

Wall provided 16 points (8-18 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 0-1 FT) and 11 assists in 34 minutes in the loss to Golden State on Tuesday. He had eight turnovers, which equaled his season high. Wall has back-to-back double-doubles, but the Wizards are sinking in the Eastern Conference with five straight losses and just two wins in February. He has hit just 11.1 percent of his 3-pointers and committed 4.6 turnovers in his last five games.

Wall (ankle) started Wednesday's game despite re-spraining his ankle Monday, and finished the loss to the Raptors with 21 points (7-15 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 6-8 FT), eight assists, four rebounds and a steal in 36 minutes. It never seemed like Wall was in danger of missing this game, and it seemed like his speed wasn't affected at all by the ankle. With a few days to rest over the All-Star break after Sunday's game, which Wall is starting in, he should be 100 percent by the Wizards' next game on Feb. 20 against the Cavaliers.

Wall said Tuesday that he re-sprained his right ankle during Monday's game against the Magic, CSN Washington's J. Michael reports.Wall also said that he's okay, so he seems more likely than not to play in Wednesday's game against Toronto. It'll be Washington's final game before the All-Star break, and while Wall could undoubtedly use some rest, the Wizards and Raptors are both in the mix for the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. Wall has already tapped out of the skills competition, and he'll likely be pretty cautious during the All-Star Game itself. After Wednesday, Washington's next game is scheduled for Feb. 20 against the Cavaliers.

Wall (Achilles) recorded a double-double in 34 minutes Monday against the Hornets as he scored 16 points (4-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-7 FT) to go along with one rebound and 10 assists. Wall has been questionable leading into his last couple of games, but continues to gut it out. He had an off shooting night Monday and came away with four turnovers as well, but the fact he is able to keep playing despite the nagging injury is encouraging.
