Joel Freeland (hip) practiced on Thursday after being limited for the past few days. Terry Stotts is once again keeping his bench on a short leash this season, but Freeland is playing 14 minutes per game. Mo Williams and Dorell Wright are the only reserves getting more action, and deep-league owners should keep Freeland in their peripheral vision.

Joel Freeland (hip) did some light work at practice on Wednesday. The team held him out of Tuesday's game even after he practiced on Monday, so there's not much to this story. The Blazers were mauled at home by Dwight Howard and even had to play LaMarcus Aldridge at center, so they'd like him back for Friday's game.

Joel Freeland (hip) will not play against the Rockets on Tuesday. He was back at practice on Monday, so it's a mild surprise that the team would hold him out. Meyers Leonard was beat out by Freeland for the backup center spot and will get a chance in the rotation against Dwight Howard and Co.

Joel Freeland (left hip) was at practice on Monday and is listed as day-to-day. He sustained a left hip strain on Saturday and it would appear he's escaped any sort of serious injury. Freeland is going to back up Robin Lopez, but he hasn't done much in his two-year career to warrant any sort of consideration in all fantasy leagues while Lopez is healthy.

Joel Freeland suffered a left hip strain on Saturday and is listed as day-to-day. He lasted just eight minutes on Friday after averaging 17.0 minutes per game in the first two outings. Freeland beat out Meyers Leonard for the backup center spot, but he still doesn't have value in almost any league, especially considering the durability of Robin Lopez.

Joel Freeland looks to have won the No. 2 center spot in Portland's rotation. He hasn't looked good on offense at all, making just 29.2 percent from the field in his last five games. Freeland is still way off the radar in almost any league.

Joel Freeland (finger) was back at practice on Monday. He received an X-ray on Sunday and since he's already back on the court, Freeland's hand seems to be fine. He didn't have a wrap or anything on the injury and could play on Wednesday.

Joel Freeland will have an X-ray on his right hand to check for a fracture. He sat out of practice on Sunday and said he's hand has been "throbbing." Freeland provides some depth for the Blazers up front, but he's not likely to play more than his 9.4 minutes per game from last season.

Joel Freeland (back) had nine points, five rebounds and one block as the Blazers lost at home to the Suns on Wednesday. He had four points and five boards in his preseason debut on Monday, and these two lines should guide fantasy owners' expectations for the regular season. He belongs on the waiver wire. At least his back injury isn't serious.

Joel Freeland (back), LaMarcus Aldridge (quad) and Mo Williams (ankle) are all questionable for Wednesday's preseason game against the Suns. Nicolas Batum (concussion), C.J. McCollum (foot) and Earl Watson (calf) have all been ruled out with their injuries.
