Grant ended Wednesday's 121-119 win over the Thunder with 20 points (6-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT), five rebounds, five assists and one block over 34 minutes.
EDGE Analysis
Grant overcame the negative correlation with Deni Avdija that sometimes plagues him, as both players made significant contributions during the stunning win. The Trail Blazers have a shot to be relevant this season, so they may put their youth-based rebuild on hold and keep Grant around. His bench production has been invaluable in the early stages of the season, and the eighth-year pro shows no sign of stopping.

Grant closed with 18 points (6-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-7 FT), four assists, three rebounds and two steals across 31 minutes during Monday's 123-115 loss to the Lakers.
EDGE Analysis
Grant continued his efficient scoring off the bench Monday, finishing behind only Deni Avdija and Shaedon Sharpe in points for the Trail Blazers. The veteran forward has been remarkably consistent to open the season, scoring at least 15 points in all seven appearances while shooting 51.3 percent from the field and 43.6 percent from beyond the arc. Though his contributions outside of scoring remain limited, Grant's reliable offensive production has been a major boost for the Trail Blazers and could be key to keeping the team competitive in a deep Western Conference.

Grant ended with 16 points (4-11 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 7-7 FT), five rebounds, two steals and one block in 32 minutes during Friday's 109-107 victory over Denver.
EDGE Analysis
Despite shifting to the bench, Grant has cobbled together six productive games to begin the season, averaging 20.7 points per game, adding 3.0 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 2.5 three-pointers. His role on this team was a topic of discussion heading into the season, though it appears he has embraced his new role.

Grant racked up 18 points (4-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 7-7 FT), three rebounds, one assist and two steals in 25 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 136-134 win over the Jazz.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran forward continues to fill up the bucket as the primary scoring threat on Portland's second unit. Through five games, Grant has yet to score fewer than 17 points, and he's averaging 21.6 points, 2.8 threes, 2.6 boards, 1.4 assists and 1.4 steals in 27.4 minutes a contest while shooting 52.5 percent from the floor and 46.7 percent from long distance.

Grant closed Sunday's 114-107 loss to the Clippers with 17 points (4-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 7-9 FT), two rebounds, one block and one steal over 29 minutes.
EDGE Analysis
While Grant has been coming off the bench for Portland this season, he's still earning 28.1 minutes per game, which is plenty of time for him to impact the box score. Through the first three games, he's been a top-60 guy with averages of 22.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.0 assist, 2.7 triples, 0.7 steals, 0.7 blocks and 1.3 turnovers per game. However, he's doing this while shooting 58.8 percent from the floor, which is not sustainable, so enjoy the hot streak while it lasts.

Grant accumulated 22 points (6-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 8-10 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal over 28 minutes off the bench during Friday's 139-119 victory over Golden State.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran forward has come off the bench in two straight games to begin the season, and so far, Grant seems to be thriving in the new role. He's averaging 25.5 points, and he's been locked in from beyond the arc, going 6-for-11 (54.5 percent) on three-point attempts. Grant hasn't added much else yet from a fantasy perspective, but he averaged 1.9 steals plus blocks last season and should be able to contribute in the defensive categories as well.

Grant had 29 points (10-14 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one block across 28 minutes during Wednesday's 118-114 loss to the Timberwolves.
EDGE Analysis
Although Grant's advanced age doesn't fit well with Portland's youth-based rebuild blueprint, it will be hard to keep him on the bench if he sustains this kind of production. Grant's season-ending knee injury allowed Deni Avdija and Toumani Camara to assume starting roles in the offense, so the veteran will begin the season as the odd man out. Wednesday's result made a strong case for getting him back in the mix.

Grant produced 32 points (7-15 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 13-14 FT), six rebounds, two steals and three blocks across 31 minutes during Thursday's 132-129 preseason loss to the Jazz.
EDGE Analysis
Grant did everything in his power to carry his team to a victory, but the Blazers fell just short. The veteran forward caught fire from beyond the arc, which is where he did a good chunk of his damage. He also got to the charity stripe with regularity, attempting a game-high 14 free throws. Grant was named in the starting lineup for the last two matchups of the preseason, and with Deni Avdija (back) and Toumani Camara (knee) dealing with injuries, Grant could be in the starting five for Wednesday's regular-season opener Wednesday against Minnesota.

Grant will be in the starting lineup for Tuesday's preseason game against the Warriors, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports.
EDGE Analysis
After coming off the bench during his last preseason appearance against the Kings on Oct. 10, Grant will be in the first five. He finished with 18 points, four rebounds and one assist across 18 minutes in that Oct. 10 game.

Grant contributed 18 points (6-13 FG, 6-8 FT), four rebounds and one assist in 18 minutes off the bench during Friday's preseason win over the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
Grant started in Portland's preseason opener, so it'll be interesting to see if he returns to the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Warriors. Grant offers minimal upside, and if he's not even starting, he won't be worth drafting in standard leagues.
