He dished out nine assists for the second time in six games this year and has scored in double figures in all six matchups. Davison is averaging 16.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.2 blocks in the early stages of the 2022-23 campaign.

It's been a busy three days for the young 20-year-old, who played 36 minutes for Maine on Tuesday, flew to Atlanta and played briefly for Boston on Wednesday, then returned to Maine for Thursday's game. The young two-way player is proving to be an intriguing starter for Maine and demonstrating plenty of upside. However, he needs to cut back on the turnovers. Through five games, Davison has 5.8 dimes but also 4.4 turnovers per contest.

The Celtics recalled Davison from the G League's Maine Celtics on Wednesday.

Davison is available for Wednesday's game versus the Hawks. Despite playing in only one game for the NBA team this season, Davison may make another appearance against Atlanta with Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) and Marcus Smart (ankle) out.

Davison impressed earlier in the year with Boston's summer league squad, and he picked up right where he left off in the G League season opener. He looked sharp from downtown and also crashed the glass. However, Davison did lead the team with five turnovers, an issue he'll need to correct moving forward.

Davison averaged 13.0 points, 8.2 assists, 4.8 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.2 blocks in five Summer League Games.

EDGE Analysis

Davison led the entire Summer League in assists. Not only did he pass the ball well, but he shot 46.7 percent from three on three attempts per game and was wreaking havoc on defense. It's hard to imagine the 2022 second-round pick really cracking the rotation on a Celtics roster fixated on another title run, but his strong Summer League showing is a positive indication as training camp nears.
