Adams was waived by the Hawks on Saturday, Chris Vivlamore of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
Adams appeared in 34 games for the Hawks last season, primarily functioning as a backup point guard to Trae Young. In 12.6 minutes per game, he averaged 3.2 points, 1.9 assists and 1.8 rebounds. He'll hope to latch on with another team before the preseason, and it's possible he ends up in the G League.

Adams posted 11 points (3-12 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 5-8 FT), two rebounds, two steals, an assist and a rebound across 32 minutes in Sunday's 90-66 loss to the Timberwolves in the Las Vegas Summer League.
EDGE Analysis
Adams is being groomed to spell Trae Young at point guard next season, but he'll need to improve his shot this summer if he wants to stay relevant. Adams offset a poor shooting night with two steals and a block, however.

Adams (toe) finished with 11 points (3-12 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 5-8 FT), two rebounds, an assist, two steals and a block over 31 minutes in Sunday's summer league game against the Timberwolves.
EDGE Analysis
Adams was held out of Saturday's matchup due to a sore toe, but he felt good enough to take the court Sunday. He struggled with his shot on the day, failing to convert from beyond the arc on six attempts.

Adams is out for Saturday's summer league game against the Bucks due to a sore toe, Chris Vivlamore of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
The injury isn't serious, but Adams and the team will take extra precaution considering it's just exhibition play. He is expected to play Sunday.

Adamas will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against Indiana, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Adams will return to the bench with Trae Young (rest) being cleared to play Wednesday. As long as Young's minutes aren't limited, Adams' is unlikely to see much run than the 12.7 minutes he's averaging on the season.

Adams will start Sunday's game against Milwaukee, KL Chouinard of Hawks.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Trae Young will sit out to rest, so the Hawks will pivot to Adams, who's played double-digit minutes in all but one game since the start of March. Considering this will be Young's first absence, Adams could be set for his largest workload of the season.

Adams accumulated 14 points (5-9 FG, 4-7 3Pt), four rebounds, and four assists in 26 minutes during Sunday's 123-118 win over the Bulls.
EDGE Analysis
Adams earned ample minutes thanks to Trae Young's early ejection and reached double figures in scoring for the first time through 16 appearances. The 22-year-old rookie has also earned double-digit minutes in five of the last six games, so Adams is cracking the rotation on a fairly regular basis lately. With that being said, until proven otherwise he's best reserved for use in the very deepest leagues.

Adams (ankle) is off the injury report ahead of Friday's contest against Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Adams hasn't played since Feb. 2 due to a sprained right ankle, but he's set to take the court Friday. With Jeremy Lin now in Toronto, Adams is expected to be the primary backup point guard to Trae Young.

Adams (ankle) won't play Thursday against the Knicks, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite being upgraded to probable earlier in the day, Adams will sit out a fourth straight game while nursing a right ankle sprain. He recently had his contract converted into a standard NBA deal, and he's expected to see backup point guard duties coming out of the All-Star break.

Adams (ankle) has been upgraded to probable for Thursday's game against the Knicks.
EDGE Analysis
The Hawks should confirm Adams' availability after pregame warmups, but the undrafted rookie looks like he'll be good to go for Atlanta's final game before the All-Star break. Outside of the rotation for much of the season, Adams is expected to step in as the top backup to starting point guard Trae Young moving forward after the team recently bought Jeremy Lin out of his contract. Adams received some added job security earlier in the week when the Hawks converted his two-way deal into a standard NBA contract.
