DeLaurier signed a 10-day contract with the Bucks on Thursday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

DeLaurier joined the G League's Wisconsin Herd in early November and averaged 7.8 points and 6.8 rebounds in 17.0 minutes per contest across 12 appearances. He'll serve as depth for the parent club since the Bucks have several players in the league's health and safety protocols.

DeLaurier finished Wednesday's G League loss to Windy City with six points (1-4 FG, 2-2 FT), 13 rebounds, one assists, two steals and a blocked shot over 21 minutes.

DeLaurier led Wisconsin with 13 boards in only 21 minutes off the bench. The total was a season high for the 23-year-old, who entered Wednesday with 14 combined rebounds over his first four games. DeLaurier opened the campaign with a 20-point effort but hasn't scored more than six points in any contest since.

DeLaurier played 18 minutes for Wisconsin on Monday and totaled 20 points (8-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-4 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one blocked shot in a 126-124 win.

EDGE Analysis

DeLaurier averaged a meager 2.9 points as a member of the Greensboro Swarm last season, but he got his 2021-22 campaign off on the right foot by pouring in 20 points off the bench Monday. The former Duke Blue Devil posted per-game averages of 3.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 0.9 blocks over four college seasons.

DeLaurier was waived by the Bucks on Saturday, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports.

DeLaurier saw 55 minutes with the Bucks during the preseason and totaled six points, nine rebounds and two steals. It's possible he lands in the G League.

DeLaurier's contract is presumably an Exhibit 10 deal that will allow the Bucks to retain his G League rights in the likely event he's cut before the start of the regular season. A 6-foot-10, 237-pound power forward, DeLaurier went undrafted out of Duke in 2020 and spent his first professional season in the G League and in Canadian Elite Basketball League. Over seven appearances with the G League's Greensboro Swarm, DeLaurier averaged 2.9 points and 3.3 rebounds in 11.1 minutes per contest.

DeLaurier totaled four points (2-4 FG), three rebounds, two steals, one assist and one block over 13 minutes in Wednesday's 120-118 win over the Blue.

DeLaurier has had a fairly minimal role for the Swarm this season, although he shot 50 percent from the floor over limited usage Wednesday. He's appeared in five of the first nine games of the season, averaging 3.6 points and 4.4 rebounds over 14.4 minutes per contest.

DeLaurier posted two points (1-1 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block over 24 minutes in Thursday's 118-106 loss to Westchester.

EDGE Analysis

DeLaurier didn't have a high shot volume during the first game of the G League season Thursday, but he was quite productive on the boards, finishing second on the team with eight rebounds. While he wasn't a prolific scorer against the Knicks, he could contribute for the Swarm in several areas this year.

DeLaurier was waived by the Hornets on Saturday, Rick Bonnell of The Charlotte Observer reports.

EDGE Analysis

The 22-year-old joined Charlotte on an Exhibit 10 contract after going undrafted in November and unsurprisingly didn't make the season-opening roster. DeLaurier could join the team's G League affiliate in Greensboro.
