Smith pitched in with 16 points (6-9 FG, 4-6 FT), seven rebounds, an assist, three blocks and two steals over 23 minutes in Friday's 107-100 victory over the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
Moved to the bench in favor of Dewayne Dedmon on Friday, Smith responded with perhaps his best all-around effort of the season. He seemed determined to make the most of his time on the court, remaining highly aggressive on both ends of the floor. The eight-year veteran amassed five personals in his 23-minute stint, but also attacked the basket frequently. With Nikola Vucevic's groin strain potentially lingering and Smith having now posted three straight double-digit scoring efforts, the latter makes for a highly speculative late-season option in deep season-long formats and daily leagues.

Smith will come off the bench in Friday's matchup with the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
Smith had started the previous two games for the Magic with Nikola Vucevic out due to injury. The Magic have opted to go with Dewayne Dedom Friday instead, thus resulting in Smith playing a reserve role. Expect Smith's minutes to dip back in the teens as opposed to the mid-twenties he had been seeing recently. It is unclear of the Magic will continue going this route with Vucevic out or not.

Smith had 13 points (6-12 FG, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, two steals, and one block in 23 minutes during the Magic's 119-113 loss to the Warriors on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Smith started and played pretty well in place of the injured Nikola Vucevic (groin) on Monday. The Magic are right back in action on Tuesday against the Lakers, and it seems unlikely that Vucevic will be ready to return that quickly. If this is indeed the case, Smith figures to earn another start, and could be a decent option in DFS.

Smith will draw a rare start Monday against the Warriors, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
The rare start will occur due to Nikola Vucevic being a late scratch due to a sore groin. Smith should have the opportunity to see more minutes than his typical 15 minute per game workload. Vucevic's status going forward is unclear, but Smith should have a chance to make some noise in DFS leagues on Monday.

Smith took part in practice Saturday after bruising his knee Friday night against Phoenix, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith knocked knees with a Suns player Friday night, and while he's dealing with some residual soreness, the ailment is unlikely to affect him going forward. With another day off before Monday's matchup with the Warriors, expect Smith to be cleared to play without limitation.

Smith (back) scored 11 points (5-10 FG, 1-1 3Pt) and added three rebounds and one block in 18 minutes during the Magic's 110-104 overtime win against the Mavericks on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Smith sat out last Wednesday's game versus the Spurs due to back spasms, but returned to action in the Magic's first game following the All-Star break. Smith has a firm grasp on the backup center role. Still, Nikola Vucevic typically plays more than 30 minutes per game, disallowing Smith from making much of an impact in fantasy.

Smith (back) will be available for Friday's game against the Mavericks, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith missed the Magic's last game before the All-Star break due to back spasms, but after over a week of rest, he'll be ready to return to the court on Friday night. Smith could see increased minutes the second half of the season, with the departure of Tobias Harris. He'll compete with Andrew Nicholson, Dewayne Dedmon, and new-addition Ersan Ilyasova for minutes.

Smith will not play Wednesday against the Spurs due to back spasms, Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith will be held out on the heels of one of his better games of the season Monday against Atlanta, when he finished with 14 points (7-11 FG) and four blocks in 22 minutes. The Magic will also be without Tobias Harris (ankle) on Wednesday, so expect the likes of Aaron Gordon and Channing Frye to pick up some extra minutes. Smith's next chance to play won't come until Feb. 19 against the Mavs following the All-Star break.

Smith tallied 14 points (7-11 FG), four blocks, two steals, and one assist across 22 minutes in Monday's 117-110 overtime win over the Hawks.
EDGE Analysis
Smith has popped for double-digit points in two of the Magic's last four games, but considering that the 22 minutes he received Monday were his most since Jan. 14, he's unlikely to gain much steam from here. The useful reserve big man is averaging 6.3 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks over 15 minutes in 46 appearances for the Magic on the season.

Smith provided 13 points (6-7 FG, 1-1 3Pt), three rebounds, two steals, and two blocks in 18 minutes during the Magic's 117-114 loss to the Thunder on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Smith made six of his seven field goal attempts, and contributed in every category except assists. However, he has seen 20 or more minutes only twice since the beginning of January, and the soon-to-be free agent has no clear path to relevance in standard sized leagues.
