Martin entered the starting five Sunday with Aaron Gordon sidelined and finished with seven points and six boards in 27 minutes of action. Gordon is back healthy Monday, so Martin will return to his usual role as off the bench, where he's highly unlikely to be fantasy-relevant.

Martin had seven points (2-10 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one block in 27 minutes during Sunday's 115-89 victory over New York.

EDGE Analysis

Martin set season-highs in just about every category Sunday, moving into the starting lineup, replacing the injured Aaron Gordon (ankle). While the shooting was not there, he did contribute across the board and certainly appeared comfortable on the floor. If Gordon is forced to miss any more time, Martin will likely be the beneficiary and is worth a flier in deeper formats.

Martin is in Sunday's starting lineup against the Knicks, Dante Marchitelli of Fox Sports Florida reports.

EDGE Analysis

With Aaron Gordon officially out with an ankle injury, Martin will see an increased role as expected. He's averaging 2.7 points along with 2.1 rebounds through the first seven games of the season.

Martin could pick up increased minutes Sunday if Aaron Gordon (ankle) doesn't play, John Denton of OrlandoMagic.com reports.

Gordon is nursing a lingering left ankle injury, and his status at this point is very much up in the air. Coach Steve Clifford implied that if Gordon doesn't play, he'd likely pivot to Martin, rather than moving rookie Mo Bamba into an unfamiliar role. Martin played just six minutes in Friday's win over Washington, and he's yet to score more than six points in any of the seven games in which he's appeared.

Martin managed six points (3-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt), two rebounds, and one assist in 12 minutes during Friday's 120-88 loss to the Hornets.

EDGE Analysis

Martin was a healthy scratch during Wednesday's season-opening win over the Heat. However, his ability to stretch the floor with his shot could help him earn regular minutes as a backup power forward on a team that's desperately lacking on the offensive end. With that being said, Martin can likely be left on the waiver wire in most leagues.

Martin was traded from the Grizzlies to the Magic on Monday in exchange for Dakari Johnson, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

EDGE Analysis

The Grizzlies are also reportedly sending cash to Orlando in a deal that is expected to open up $1 million of cap space in Memphis. Martin played in 73 games (36 starts) this past season, averaging career highs across the board of 7.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.0 assist across 22.8 minutes. Look for him to slot in as depth behind Aaron Gordon and Jonathan Isaac, likely competing with Khem Birch for reserve minutes.

Martin averaged 7.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.0 assists across 73 games played with Memphis during the 2017-18 NBA season.

EDGE Analysis

Martin established career highs in almost every statistical category in what was his best season of his young three-year career. The former first-round pick from LSU is set to make around $2.4 million next year as he enters his final year of his four-year contract signed back in July of 2015.

Martin (ankle) will miss the remainder of the season with a left ankle sprain, Michael Wallace of Grind City Media reports.

EDGE Analysis

Martin suffered what the team is calling a serious ankle sprain in Wednesday's loss to the Pelicans, and he'll be held out of the Grizzlies' remaining four contests. In order to fill his roster spot, Memphis will sign Omari Johnson from the Memphis Hustle of the G League.

Martin is out for Friday's contest against the Kings as a result of a left ankle injury.

EDGE Analysis

It's not exactly clear when Martin picked up the injury, though he played just 22 minutes in the team's most recent game after seeing 30-plus minutes in six straight tilts. As a result of his absence, Ivan Rabb is a strong candidate to see extra run at power forward.

Martin accumulated seven points (3-6 FG, 1-2 FT), 14 rebounds, and two assists in 30 minutes during Wednesday's 108-103 win over the Trail Blazers.

Martin finished with a career high in rebounding, and he has hauled in double-digit boards in five of his last 19 appearances after failing to do so once through his first 51 appearances this season. The third-year forward continues to enjoy a prominent role for the Grizzlies as they look to develop their younger players.
