Young, who was assigned to Maine of the D-League on Sunday afternoon, will return to the Celtics on Monday.
The Celtics opted to send Young to play with the Red Claws for Sunday evening's contest. He'll fly back to Boston after the game and should participate in practices this week leading up to Friday's matchup with the Bulls. Young has been buried at the end of the Celtics' bench thus far, appearing in only three games and logging 12 total minutes.

Young has been assigned to the developmental league, A. Sherrod Blakely of CSNNE.com reports.
Young has only played in three NBA games so far this season, with his top minutes output only six minutes. He will likely see significant time in the d-league this season, and will not have much fantasy value this year unless the Celtics see significant injuries to several players.

Young and Dwight Powell were assigned to the D-League Maine Red Claws on Saturday, The Boston Globe's Jessica Camerato reports.
Young has only made two appearances, playing just four and six minutes in those games. He could spent quite a bit of time in the D-League this season, as the Celtics have solid backcourt depth, and Young is viewed as a long-term project more so than a likely immediate contributor.

Young (personal) returned to action for the Celtics on Wednesday and put up three points in four minutes off the bench.
Young isn't in the Celtics' nightly rotation. He's a rookie wing player who could find some minutes later in the season if the Celtics fall out of playoff contention, but as long as the team is at all relevant, Young is unlikely to move ahead of anyone on the depth chart.

Young (personal) did not practice for the second straight day but is expected to return to the team Wednesday, according to coach Brad Stevens.
Young missed a pair of practices while attending to an ill family member. The rookie will likely be available Wednesday against Oklahoma City, but he's appeared on only one game this season, logging six minutes against the Rockets on Nov. 1.

Young has only been on the court for one of Boston's games this season.
The rookie is currently on the bottom of the totem pole in Boston and it doesn't seem like that will change as the season progresses. At just 19-years-old, Young is currently a long-term option, and a shaky one at that.

Young seems to have gotten over his hamstring injury with his successful 26-minute outing against the Nets in which he was able to score five points and grab four rebounds.
Young was plagued with a hamstring injury throughout the preseason that limited him to just two games. The rookie certainly could have benefited from more time on the court, both in practice and exhibition games, but there's no time for prep left as the Celtics begin their regular season against the Nets on Wednesday. At 19-years-old, it's still undetermined what kind of role Young will have on the team, although he'll be competing for minutes with the three capable veterans of Jeff Green, Evan Turner, and Gerald Wallace which certainly curtails his value.
