James Singleton scored four points on 1-of-6 shooting with nine rebounds and a block in 20 minutes off the bench in Friday's blowout loss. Singleton has been getting it done recently, averaging 9.2 points, 8.0 boards, 0.6 steals, and 0.6 blocks in his last five games. Even with the Wizards shooting 28 percent as a team and scoring only 65 points, it's somewhat impressive that Singleton could still be productive in his bench role.

Singleton, in just his fourth game with the team, has been tremendous off the bench, averaging 14 points per game and nine rebounds over his last three. He is certainly worth a pick up, although he could get bumped down on the depth chart once some healthy bodies return for the Wizards.

Singleton posted 12 points, nine rebounds, and three assists in 26 minutes on Friday, and in this quirky season of 10-day guys exploding he'll be worth a desperation look -- but also be as risky as they come. Should the Wizards stay banged up and starter Chris Singleton stay in the 20 mpg range, there's a chance that Singleton or Cartier Martin (19 points) emerges with some value, but there's a ton that could go wrong. The first thing that comes to mind is playing a real NBA team unlike the Bobcats.

He took the minutes of the other Singleton, Chris, who played 19 totoal with eight points, two threes, and not much else. If James can do it again, we'll start talking, but not until then.

Wizards signed F James Singleton to a 10-day contract. Singleton just wrapped up his season in China, where he averaged 17.8 points and 11.9 rebounds for the Guandong Southern Tigers. It's his second stint with the Wizards and he'll give frontcourt depth with both Trevor Booker (foot) and Nene (foot) hobbled.
