Okeke (hip) will remain out Wednesday against the Hornets and is without a firm return timetable, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
When asked about Okeke's return timeline, coach Jamahl Mosley told reporters, "There is no real timetable for him. We're going to see how he responds to contact and to his rehab." The implication there is that Okeke is yet to return to full contact work as he recovers from the bone bruise in his right hip that's kept him out for the entire preseason and continues to cost him time to begin the regular season. Robbins added that Okeke has "looked agile" in post-practice shooting drills, but it's anyone's guess when the Magic will clear the 2019 first-round pick to return to game action. Orlando heads out on a three-game road trip beginning Friday at Toronto, so it's quite possible Okeke will remain sidelined through at least the end of Week 2.
