Williams averaged 8.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, 0.7 three-pointers, 0.7 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.1 blocks in 20 minutes per game during 74 regular season games in the 2014-15 season. The second overall pick of the 2011 draft continued his descent into NBA obscurity as he struggled to produce in a bench role this season. However, due to injuries to Rudy Gay (concussion) and DeMarcus Cousins (foot) toward the end of the season, Williams saw an increase in action, averaging 14.8 points and 3.9 rebounds through nine games in April. Williams is on the books for a qualifying offer of $8.7 million in 2015-16, which is unlikely to be picked up by the Kings.
