The big man entered the starting five after coming off the bench for much of the latter part of the regular season, and he abused a thin Hornets front line in the paint to the tune of 82% from the field. Whiteside should have a significant advantage over the Hornets' interior defenders and will likely be central to what Miami does for the duration of the series.
