Whiteside said the knee injury that sidelined him during the playoffs is no longer an issue, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside sprained his right MCL during the Eastern Conference Semifinals against Toronto and missed the final four games of the series. He said he's since worked on strengthening the knee and is back at full strength. "I got time to really strengthen up," Whiteside said. "I rehabbed with the Heat and everything's good." After playing on a minimum deal each of the last two seasons, Whiteside will hit the open market as an unrestricted free agent on July 1. The 27-year-old is expected to have no trouble fetching max offers from multiple suitors, likely including the Heat.
