Whiteside (knee) is a late scratch Wednesday versus the Clippers, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Whiteside went through warm ups and indicated that he was going to play, so this comes as a surprise. Justice Winslow is expected to slide into the starting rotation in an effort to replace Whiteside. This will be the second consecutive game missed for the Heat's big man. His next opportunity to play will be Friday versus the Nuggets.
