Whiteside (hand) has been officially ruled out for Friday's game against the Hawks, Jason Lieser of the Palm Beach Post reports. As expected, Whiteside will miss a second straight game due to a pretty significant laceration on his right hand, which he suffered against the Bucks on Tuesday. Whiteside's stitches are still in, and he's currently donning a wrap on his middle and ring fingers. The Heat have not commented on Whiteside's status for Sunday's game.
