Neto had 18 points (7-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four assists, three rebounds and three steals in 36 minutes during Wednesday's 118-114 victory over the Warriors.
EDGE Analysis
Neto remained in the starting lineup against the Warriors and delivered one of his best all-around performances of the season. Perhaps more notable than Neto's line itself was the fact that his outlook for picking up steady minutes improved significantly due to the fractured ankle Deni Avdija suffered during the game. Avdija is expected to miss the rest of the season, and with Rui Hachimura (kneecap) still day-to-day, the Wizards will have to turn to supporting players like Neto to fill extra minutes. It's unclear if the Wizards plan to regularly include Neto in three-guard starting lineups alongside Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook, or if the team will turn to more traditional small forwards in Isaac Bonga or Garrison Mathews to replace Avdija on the top unit.
