Valanciunas finished with seven points (3-4 FG, 1-3 FT), six rebounds, and one block across 18 minutes during Friday's 107-97 victory over the Celtics.
EDGE Analysis
Despite starting, Valanciunas' minutes fell by the wayside as the Raptors' new addition, Serge Ibaka, took over significant playing time at both power forward and center. Valanciunas' minutes have been spotty all season, heavily dictated by matchup, but the fact that Ibaka ate into his minutes so quickly out of the gate suggests that Valanciunas' workload may start trending south. Coach Dwane Casey may still be figuring out his rotation, so Valanciunas isn't worth giving up hope on quite yet, but it's worth keeping an eye on as the Raptors try to push for as high of a seed in the playoffs as possible.
