Tyler Zeller had his appendix removed on Friday after being diagnosed with acute appendicitis. Appendectomies are relatively straight-forward procedures, but all surgery has risks and the Cavaliers haven't provided a timetable for Zeller's recovery. If his absence extends into the regular season, there'd be a bit more breathing room for Anderson Varejao, Tristan Thompson, Anthony Bennett and possibly Andrew Bynum.
