The Pistons didn't re-sign Walton after his 10-day contract expired Tuesday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.

Now that his contract with Detroit has expired, Walton will likely rejoin the organization's G League affiliate, the Motor City Cruise. While Detroit was shorthanded last week, Walton appeared in three games, starting all of them while averaging 6.3 points, 7.0 assists, 3.3 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 1.3 blocks in 36.0 minutes per contest. Considering Walton drew plenty of praise from Detroit head coach Dwane Casey during his week-and-a-half-long stint with the club, it wouldn't be surprising to see him catch on with the Pistons or another NBA team later on this season.
