Tim Duncan scored a season-high 28 points including the game-winning shot on Monday against the Hornets, hitting 11-of-19 shots from the field with seven rebounds, two assists, and one steal in 34 minutes. Duncan's sweep across the lane to win the game was half Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and half Magic Johnson doing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Gregg Popovich spoke after the game of prescribing Duncan plenty of rest, and made specific mention of not allowing him to play four games in five nights. Those issues might be frustrating, but Duncan is providing sixth round value and has a decent shot at continuing it -- at least while Manu Ginobili is out.
