After the trade that sent Thornton to Detroit was voided Monday, Thornton will return to the Rockets, and while the team won't have him Tuesday versus Utah, he's expected to play Thursday night. "The expectations are that he'll come meet us in Portland and come play there for us," Bickerstaff said. "He'll fill a similar role, do what he's done for us in the past."
