EDGE Analysis
The Wizards continue to make slowing down Thomas a priority, and it resulted in his third straight game with fewer than 20 points. However, Thomas' teammates were ready to pick up the slack Wednesday and the Celtics cruised to an easy Game 5 victory. Unable to find the space to score that he did in the regular season on his way to 28.9 points per game, Thomas shifted his focus to setting up teammates and tied his playoff-high assist total in the win. The Wizards may have figured the diminutive guard out to a degree, but it's reassuring to know that even if Thomas' scoring is bottled up, he can still contribute in other meaningful ways.
