There is increasing speculation that the Knicks will not match the Rockets' offer sheet for Jeremy Lin, believed to be worth $25.1 million over three years. New York currently has Raymond Felton and Jason Kidd at point guard, leaving precious little room for Lin. Marc Berman of the NY Post cites sources who say the Knicks won't match, in spite of his untold marketing allure, and it's possible that the free-spending Knicks actually want to avoid major luxury taxes in 2014-15 (the so-called 'poison pill' in the Rockets' back-loaded offer, courtesy of the CBA's Gilbert Arenas provision). The situation continues to evolve, so stay tuned.
