The Rockets signed Jeremy Lin to a 3-year term sheet on Thursday, including a team option for the fourth year, but early on it appears as if the Knicks will match the backloaded deal. That's at least what Adrian Wojnarowski wrote as news of the deal broke, and it's consistent with everything we've heard so far out of New York. It should be noted, however, that the Knicks did sign Jason Kidd earlier today. Most reporters have felt that Lin would stick around and start with Kidd backing him up, but it's possible New York's grab of Kidd was for more than just insurance.
