The Nuggets can begin extension negotiations with Kenneth Faried in July. Faried is entering the final year of his rookie contract in 2014-15. He's coming off a spectacular second half of the season that saw him average 18.8 points, 10.1 rebounds and 1.1 steals while shooting 54.6 percent after the All-Star break. If Faried believes he can sustain that level of play -- and there's little reason to think he can't -- then he'd be better off playing out his contract and hitting unrestricted free agency in the summer of 2015.
