The new Mavs backcourt of Darren Collison and O.J. Mayo plans to take the ball to the rim with much greater frequency than last year's older jump-shooting combo of Jason Kidd and Jason Terry. Kidd averaged a ridiculously low 0.2 shots at the rim per game last season, with Terry also averaging a well below-average (39th among shooting guards) 1.7 shots at the rim per game. Collison and Mayo will take it to the rack way more this year and will make defenses respect the drive much more than they have in years' past. Expect good numbers from Collison and Mayo this season and both could be nice fantasy sleepers on a rebuilt Dallas team.
