The Lakers have officially declared Steve Nash (nerve root irritation) out for the 2013-14 season. This was all but a formality, but coach Mike D'Antoni officially stuck a fork in the former MVP's season on Thursday. Nash is due $9.7 million on September 1, so it will be interesting to see if the Lakers decide to keep the 40-year-old around or jettison him via the stretch provision. Regardless, any fantasy owners were holding out hope for a return this season can feel free to move on.
