The Lakers announced that Kobe Bryant is "out indefinitely" due to a left ankle sprain that was suffered on Wednesday. He's one of the toughest players ever and even played through torn ligaments in his wrist back in 2011, but the odds aren't in his favor to play against the Pacers on Friday. The Lakers are right in the thick of a playoff race and Kobe is going to do whatever is necessary to play. The team may give him an MRI on Thursday to check the damage on his ankle ligaments, so that information will be right at the top of the list on things we'll be watching for. In the meantime, Jodie Meeks is in line for a nice bump in minutes and he should be picked up in all standard leagues.
