The Knicks still intend to sign Chris Smith, the brother of J.R., a source told Knicks Journal. Smith was signed to a training camp contract and was never a lock to make the team from day one. Smith isn't scheduled to resume basketball activities until April, so maybe the Knicks will give him another look in training camp before the 2013/14 season.
