The Clippers and Darren Collison have agreed on a two-year contract. Collison fell out of favor with the Mavericks and apparently he didn't generate much enthusiasm as a free agent, as he settled for a backup job which will pay him a portion of the Clips' mid-level exception. The second year is a player option. It's a nice under-the-radar pickup for L.A., allowing Jamal Crawford to play off-ball more often, but it further reduces the odds that Chauncey Billups will return.
