The Bulls are no longer talking to unrestricted free agent Tracy McGrady about a possible role off their bench. Although they had been linked to T-Mac this summer, once Chicago signed first-round pick Marquis Teague to his contract worth 100 percent of the rookie scale, it makes it impossible for them to now sign McGrady without making a trade or buying out a player. T-Mac averaged 5.3 points, 3 rebounds and 2.1 assists as a backup in Atlanta last year and has said he wants to join a contender's bench this season.
