Taylor's 24-game suspension expired with Monday's game against the Cavaliers, but the guard isn't likely to join the active roster immediately, the Charlotte Observer reports. Coach Steve Clifford offered a couple reasons for the decision, first citing Taylor's nearly year-long absence from the NBA after tearing his Achilles in December of 2013. His only activity with the team has been a few summer workouts, as well as limited practice sessions, as Taylor has not been allowed to travel with the Hornets during the suspension. Charlotte also has plenty of depth on the wing, and Clifford indicated Taylor would need to prove he's ahead of another player on the depth chart before he considers using him as one of the 13 active roster spots.
