Steve Nash is confident that he'll remain with the Lakers next season, but due to his health concerns he admitted that the team "can't rely on [him]." The Lakers could waive Nash via the stretch provision, thus reducing the cap impact of his $9.7 million final year, but the 40 year old sounds certain that he'll still be in L.A. He said that he's 3-4 weeks away from being healthy and wants to contribute in any way possible next season, even if he doesn't play and only serves as a mentor to young Lakers' players.
