Mays had 14 points (6-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists and one steal across 33 minutes during Thursday's 98-96 victory over Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
Called up from the G League earlier in the week amid several COVID-related absences, Mays started for the second straight game but was much more effective Thursday than he was Wednesday against Orlando (zero points in nine minutes). The 2020 second-rounder had arguably his best game as a pro, notching his first career double-double while helping lead the Hawks to an upset victory over a significantly more healthy Sixers team. Mays may hang onto his starting spot for another couple of games, but once the Hawks get the likes of Trae Young, Kevin Huerter, and Cam Reddish back, he could return to the G League.
