Richardson amassed 17 points (6-15 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and one steal across 28 minutes during Wednesday's 122-120 victory over Oklahoma City.
EDGE Analysis
Richardson thrived as a member of the starting lineup Wednesday, helping the Spurs to a narrow victory. With news coming out earlier in the day that Doug McDermott would be sidelined for the remainder of the season, it appears Richardson has first dibs on the vacant starting spot. This is actually a nice opportunity for Richardson to rediscover the form he showed during his days with the Heat. The Spurs are not pushing for the playoffs and so the pressure to succeed should be minimized when compared to previous seasons. For now, pick him up and see where this takes us.
