Smith was hit with two fouls in the first five minutes of the game, picked up his third at the end of the first half, and committed his fourth early in the third quarter, capping his minutes substantially. The Knicks face an undersized Denver Nuggets next, allowing coach Derek Fisher to look elsewhere if Amundson can't play.
